A Scout group celebrating its 50th anniversary needs up to £70,000 for a new headquarters.
The 1st Findon Valley pack in Worthing held a party in the grounds of Vale School, Vale Avenue, Findon Valley, on Sunday.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Worthing, James Doyle, many of the 65-strong all-boy group, aged between six and 14, and past members and helpers.
The wooden hut scouts used near The Gallops has reached the end of its natural life and become the target of vandals.
The pack is now based at a church hall off Findon Road but has nowhere to store its equipment.
Janet Chapman, the scouter in charge, said £7,000 had already been raised towards the cost of a new prefabricated headquarters but hoped the anniversary celebrations would lead to more funds coming in.
