Yet again we see people clamouring for bypasses to "relieve traffic congestion".
It's basic common sense that more roads mean more traffic and more traffic means more air pollution and noise.
People complain about traffic congestion caused by roadworks which are being done to repair damage caused by too much traffic. Hardly rocket science is it?
There's too much reliance on cars.
Brighton and Hove City Council warns that people with breathing problems, asthmatics for instance, should be aware that due to traffic pollution they will suffer breathing difficulties.
Do we really want to live in an environment such as this?
I don't think so.
It's time the council got round to implementing policies which discourage the use of the car so we can all get back to breathing some decent, clean air and stop listening to big business which wants to encourage more cars into our city to bump up its profits.
