Pride supporters have raised thousands of pounds to honour donations to organisations that were threatened when £10,000 vanished from its accounts.
Volunteers from Brighton and Hove's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community rallied to drum up the replacement cash with a series of events.
The grants will be paid to a range of organisations starting with an emergency payment of £1,000 to The Mental Health Advocacy Project.
Martyn Roberts, treasurer of Pride, said: "The Project is in dire financial circumstances and Pride is so pleased to be able to pay the grant it had been desperately relying on.
"Recent local research has showed that organisations like this play an vital role for the LGBT community.
"It would be a tragedy if it folded."
Auditors were called in when only two of the 12 grants promised from the proceeds of last year's Pride festival, totalling £1,500, were paid.
Police are still investigating.
