Fitness fanatics pitted their wits against the clock in a bid to find the toughest competitors in Lancing.
The fourth annual indoor triathlon competition took place in the Mint Condition fitness suite at Lancing Manor Leisure Centre in Old Shoreham Road.
Competitors had to race against the clock and complete the three tasks of rowing 2000m, cycling 5km and running 1.5 miles during any of the five weekends throughout June.
There were categories for 16 to 39-year-olds, 40 to 49-year-olds and people aged 50 and over.
Unsurprisingly, the overall winners came from the youngest age group.
The fastest man overall was James Everett, from Worthing, who finished with a time of 23 minutes and 34 seconds, having completed the rowing in 7 minutes 14 seconds, the running in 9 minutes 12 seconds and the cycling in 7 minutes 2 seconds.
The women's event was won by Joanne Broad, from Sompting, in 29 minutes and 29 seconds, with split times of 9 minutes 15 seconds for the rowing, 12 minutes 22 seconds for the running and 7 minutes and 58 seconds for the cycling.
All competitors received a certificate and the winners were presented with their trophies on Friday at a Mint Condition barbecue and presentation evening.
Adur councillor Dave Ashley said: "This year's triathlon was very fast and very competitive and proves fitness can be fun.
"Although there is a lot of rivalry, the sportsmanship is always of the highest level".
