Beach huts on Hove seafront used to be rented out at £25 a year. Now one has been sold for £4,000 and another in Ferring has fetched £7,250.
They measure 8ft by 6ft, have no electricity and are prone to damage both by storms and vandals.
But they do have running water if you count the sea - and location is everything.
