A pensioner crashed a car through the wall of her own house.
The woman, in her 80s, was taken to St Richard's Hospital, Chichester, where she was treated for minor injuries.
Police said the crash happened as the woman pulled into the drive of her home in Bognor.
Officers believe she lost control of the BMW and accelerated through a side wall - leaving a gaping hole through to a downstairs bedroom.
A neighbour said: "I was sitting in my living room having a cup of tea when there was a loud bang.
"I thought they'd hit my brother-in-law's car. He ran out to see if it was safe and came back in and said someone had gone through a wall. I phoned for the ambulance."
She added: "It was a really loud bang. The car went right through the wall."
The woman and a man who was a passenger in the car were released from hospital last night.
