An East Sussex man today told of his fears for his two sons as they languish in a Greek jail cell.
Vera Johnson, 45, her sons Christian, 24, and Frederick, 19, and her partner Andrew Glover, 44, were all charged with causing grievous bodily harm, resisting arrest and using threatening and insulting behaviour.
The charges follow an alleged fight on Sunday morning after they allegedly dropped pieces of kebab on a souvenir shop floor in Athens.
All four were being held in police custody and were led to court yesterday in handcuffs.
But the young men's father, Andrew Staermose, of London Road, St Leonards, who is divorced from Mrs Johnson, is worried about their treatment.
He said: "There are four people in jail who shouldn't be. The Foreign Office is doing its best but I am very worried about them."
The four will appear before a magistrate tomorrow.
