A man appeared in court today to face a murder charge after a woman's body was found in a woodland near a Sussex hotel.
Lee Portwine, 37, of Pound Hill Parade, Crawley, is accused of murdering Una Whitney, 38, of the same address.
He was charged early today and held in custody before appearing at Crawley magistrates' court. He was then remanded in custody and is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on August 7.
Miss Whitney's body was found in woods near the Gatwick Worth Hotel in Crabbet Park, near Copthorne, on Sunday morning.
