Couch potatoes will have the perfect excuse to put their feet up when a pub stages a sponsored sofa sit-in.
Staff at the North Star, in Littlehampton Road, Worthing, have been encouraged to take part in the event to raise money for St Barnabas Hospice.
All the staff will take it in turns to cosy up on one of the pub's leather sofas for 48 hours.
The willing volunteers will be sponsored for every hour they successfully remain on the sofa.
Manager Barbara Hopkins said: "Our guests are always commenting on our sofas so we decided to take inspiration from this in creating a wacky fund-raising idea."
The pub has already raised £300 for the hospice and staff are hoping to raise more than £1,000 with the sofa sit.
