Staff at Adur District Council collected certificates this week for courses they have just successfully completed.
The council is committed to the training and development of its staff and six staff members have passed an introduction to management. This is the fourth course to be run by the council.
A further two have passed advanced driving and assessor courses while four will be receiving NVQ certificates in waste management.
Corporate resources chairman Julie Searle said: "It gives me great pleasure to see members of staff improving their qualifications.
"It's good for them, good for us and good for our customers."
