OLA ONABULE, KOMEDIA, BRIGHTON, AUGUST 1: Chosen to perform at the wedding of Posh and Becks and back George Michael and KD Lang, this jazz/soul/funk artist has been acclaimed as one the UK's finest. GARLIC, FREEBUTT, BRIGHTON, AUGUST 2: Vocalist and guitar player for this indie/rock band influenced by Pavement and The Pixies, Mike Wyzgowski is no musical novice, having been involved in projects with Paul Oakenfold and Tricky. Garlic's second album, Jam Sabbatical, is due for release in early September and they have been described as having character with a refreshing lack of concern for fashion. Starts 8pm, tickets £4. PUSCHA, PRESSURE POINT, BRIGHTON, AUGUST 4: Sounding like a frisky version of Muse and hot on the heels of lauded contemporaries such as Queens Of The Stone Age, this local band seem ready to take on the world. Their first single, Maybe We Want To, is released on new record label Full On Entertainment and they will be playing as part of Radio 1 Live in October. Starts 8pm, tickets £4/£3. Call 01273 702333.
THE HAMSTERS, KOMEDIA, BRIGHTON, AUGUST 6-7: This blues/rock trio have many claims to fame: Formula 1 champion Damon Hill is a fan and band members have performed with Eric Clapton and Alison Moyet. Wednesday is Jimi and ZZ night, while Thursday they'll be showcasing blues/rock material. Supporting are Brighton rock band In Vitro, who have just released their debut single, New Boss Same Boss.
