Seb Fontaine's in town, indie night Mad For It is moving and Worthing hosts the South Coast's biggest urban club night.
TYPE, Concorde 2, BRIGHTON, AUGUST 1: Seb Fontaine is bringing his night Type down from London club The Cross for a one-off summer special. There will be a mix of progressive house, trance and electro with Seb and Nic Fanciulli. Fanciulli recently mixed a blinding Porn House CD for Mixmag and should be worth the admission price on his own, while Mr Fontaine's name above the door should ensure Concorde 2 is packed out. 10pm until late. £8 in advance (£10 on the door). 01273 772770.
3TO, WORTHING, AUGUST 1-2: The Rub, the South Coast's biggest urban club night, continues its residency at 3TO with Dan Gasser. MC AKA and MaDDoG will be playing light drum 'n' bass and UK garage in the other room. Dysfunktional Unleashed presents The Charlys Angelz Tour tomorrow night. This features Miss Behavin, Sophie Sugar and Vicky Devine. Best Bar None keeps it funky in the other room with Dan Sampayo, Disco D and Steve Willis. 8pm to 2am. Admission is £3 and above. 01903 538000/602776.
MAD FOR IT, CONCORDE 2, BRIGHTON, UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST: The Pavilion Tavern and Tavern Club in Brighton are now closed for refurbishment until the end of August. In the meantime, Thursday indie night Mad For It will be moving to the Concorde 2 on Madeira Drive. The usual rules apply. Lisa Lout, Chunks and guests will be bigging up the dance floor. They will also be having their weekly giveaways and cheap drinks. The Concorde 2 is also bigger so hopefully it won't be so hot. £2/£1. 01273 772770.
