A week of spectacular colour, fun and entertainment came to a fitting finale to mark the end of Hastings' Old Town carnival.
Floats, fancy costumes, marching bands, majorettes and twirlers featured in the grand procession.
Led by Hastings carnival queen Krystal Finch and princesses Lydia Hall and April Hollister, the procession wound its way through the Old Town's historic streets.
Thousands of people enjoyed the happy atmosphere on Friday evening amid warm temperatures in what is one of the highlights of Hastings' summer.
The procession capped a week of events, which started with an opening ceremony procession from Winkle Island in front of Mayor Phil Scott.
Other highlights throughout the week included a tug-of-war at The Stade, a two-day beach concert and the famed Old Town crier competition.
But there a sombre element with the death last month of long-serving carnival president and ex-Hastings mayor John Hodgson.
