I am concerned that estate agents don't tell their customers whether their flat is sound proof.
I know that new flats have sound proofing but an awful lot of the older, converted houses do not.
This is a terrible drawback to tenants, as very often one gets young couples upstairs and elderly ones downstairs.
This never works out as you cannot mix the old and the young. Their lifestyles are totally different and it makes life hell in most cases, usually for the older person who likes peace and quiet.
