The buses in Brighton and Hove are brilliant. Having recently moved out of central Brighton, we are chuffed with the superb service.
The signs at the bus stop tell us to the minute when a bus is due and the timetables are easily available and user-friendly.
It's generally easy to get on and off the bus, even with a pushchair and, because of its frequency, our bus is rarely overcrowded.
We have no more Brighton parking aggro or traffic jam stress. This weekend we officially became a one-car family as my wife has now bought a monthly saver ticket and we are selling her car.
Our remaining car rarely moves from its spot except for long work journeys and we never take it into the city.
Some people who have cars need them for essential use but we have found it is very easy to cut down on local car journeys and use the bus instead, which is good for us and everyone else - except garages, car parks and traffic wardens.
