Shepherd Neame League: Lewes Priory have moved four points clear of St James at the top of Division Two.

Both teams have one game to play and meet this week in a shoot-out for the title.

Defeat for Cuckfield and Littlehampton means the top two will be promoted providing their facilities are up to standard.

Stirlands will drop back into Division Two, with Worthing or Eastbourne joining them if two clubs are relegated from the Premier League.

Lewes Priory enjoyed an eight-wicket win at home to bottom club Bexhill who they dismissed for 186. Mark Roughley made a top score of 51, Imran Khan took 4-47 and Kashif Ibrahim 3-61.

Lewes lost their first two wickets for just 18 but Kashif Ibrahim (92 not out) and skipper Michael Murray (72 not out) shared an unbroken third- wicket stand of 170 to take their side to the top of the table with a winning total of 188-2.

Both wickets fell to Matt Blackman (2-41).

Preston Nomads inflicted a shock 104-run defeat on Littlehampton and move up to fifth in the table while their visitors are just three places off the bottom.

James McKenney (41), Steve Gatting (33) and Josef Salameh (32 not out) helped Nomads to 239-7 declared.

Littlehampton then crashed to 135 all out despite 30 from Benn Challen. William Davis took 3-23 and Graeme Watson 3-55.

Roffey enjoyed themselves at Cuckfield with a 119-run victory after making 249-6 declared.

Mark Jefferson hit 69, Mike Norris 36 and Paul Hutchinson 39. Jamie Fitt was the most successful home bowler with 3-72.

Jefferson then grabbed 3-21 and Norris 4-39 to send Cuckfield reeling to 130 all out. Neil Divall hit 33 not out.

Haywards Heath gave themselves a chance of a top four finish with a seven-wicket win at home to Sidley.

The visitors were dismissed for 160 as Stuart Parr grabbed 6-53 in 15.3 overs. Jonathan Haffenden, with 54, made the top score.

Sidley were handicapped by a batting injury to Imran Javed who was also unable to bowl.

Heath reached 164-3 as David Wood made 57 not out, Charlie Doiwdall 31 not out and Stuart Faith 29.
