A motorist was killed when his car overturned and spun off the M23 near Gatwick.
The 58-year-old man, from Brighton, was travelling south with his wife in a Daihatsu 4x4 on Sunday.
At about 2.15pm a black BMW passed the couple's car as they travelled towards junction 10.
Moving over to the offside, the Daihatsu driver lost control. The car overturned and skidded off the road before going down the embankment.
The driver died at the scene. His wife, 49, was taken to New East Surrey Hospital in Redhill with minor injuries, and released later that evening.
