Police released a new photograph of murder victim Ken Harvey, holding his baby daughter Billie, as they continued the hunt for his killers.

Billie, now three, was the only daughter of Mr Harvey, 44, and his wife Tania, 32. The couple each had two children from previous relationships.

Mrs Harvey and four of the children were today living in a safe house at a secret location and under police guard in case they were targeted by the killers. One grown-up son lives away.

Mrs Harvey wept as she told a Press conference: "It has literally destroyed our lives. I have lost my husband and our children have lost their father."

Mr Harvey, who ran a courier company in Wadhurst, East Sussex, was shot three times as he sat in his Mercedes at crossroads at Cripp's Corner, Battle, at 6.45am on Monday.

The victim was on bail charged with two others with importing cocaine worth £500,000 but police said they were keeping an open mind on whether the murder was drugs related.

Sussex Police have offered a £10,000 reward.

The gunmen were riding a Kawasaki 750 Ninja motorbike which pulled up beside Mr Harvey's car before the pillion passenger fired a handgun.

Mr Harvey was on his way to his office from his family home in The Hawthornes, Broad Oak, Hastings.
