A restaurant has donated more than 1,000 pieces of crockery to a YMCA in Littlehampton.

Brewsters Windmill in Coastguard Road, Littlehampton, gave away plates, bowls, breadboards, tea pots and milk jugs to be used by the charity's tenants.

The YMCA is the largest provider of secure affordable supported housing for young people.

Sally Bartlett, YMCA trust and corporate fund-raiser, said: "We are delighted to have received this donation.

"The crockery will be used in our hostels and foyers across the UK, while some will go to young people who are setting up home for the first time in our self-contained flats.

"The donation assists our efforts in providing support, guidance, a safe environment and opportunities for young people across the UK."

Darren Gimorwe, general manager at Brewsters Windmill, said: "We hope this donation will play a part in supporting the valuable work of the YMCA."
