The only culture I see on a daily basis in Brighton is the type one would expect to find in a Petri dish.
St James's street is absolutely disgusting and a health risk, as is Churchill Square.
The pavements are black with the spit, urine, litter and vomit of a whole summer's worth of abuse.
The shop fronts are sticky and caked with dust, chewing gum and cigarette butts. It's all very well having nice boutiques and expensive coffee bars but what are you supposed to do with phoney Big Issue sellers and ignorant youths spitting and cursing at anyone?
Where is my right not to be surrounded by these scum?
I pay taxes and they don't so it's my street, not theirs. I know a few people who live peacefully on the streets of Brighton and none of them is addicted to anything.
No serious attempt has been made to stop the arrogance of the last generation and the ignorance of the present from contaminating the everyday life for those of us who simply want to live peacefully.
These children openly smoke dope on the top decks of buses when they should be in school.
I would like to think the authorities will step in and whip this mess into shape.
Remember the saying: "Where there is dirt, there are germs." Clean the place up and the germs will leave of their own accord.
Don't give them room to breed or increase.
