Hundreds of adoring fans cheered as Angel star David Boreanaz made a guest appearance at the Brighton Centre today.
The actor, who found fame in cult TV show Buffy The Vampire Slayer before starring in his own spin-off, was ushered in as the Angel And Buffy Convention got under way.
Boreanaz, who plays a vampire with a soul, flew in from London by helicopter and took to the stage to answer questions from fans.
Devotees joined a huge queue to secure the heartthrob's autograph.
He was joined by co-stars including Kristine Sutherland, who plays Buffy's mother, Nicholas Brendon, who stars as Xander, and Mark Lutz, who is Groosalug in Angel.
Weird and wonderful costumes were conspicuous by their absence at the start of the convention but fans are expected to dress up for parties in the evening.
Katie Gallyer, 16, from Feltham, queued for an autograph with her mother Debbie. She said: "I love David Boreanaz. I am addicted to him."
