Apart from the fact the Gehry design is inappropriate for the King Alfred location, I believe the use of titanium cladding on high density, towering housing structures would be a very big mistake.
Yes, titanium is strong and pretty resistant to corrosion (unless exposed to moderate concentrations of sulphuric acid) but what would happen in the event of a major fire?
There is the very serious risk of rapid combustion as a result of using titanium cladding less than a millimetre thick (as used at Museo Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain).
The use of titanium in itself surely does not fit well with environmental sustainability, let alone long-term economic maintenance.
