Sussex look set for a three-horse title race after Lancashire moved within sight of a County Championship victory over fellow challengers Surrey yesterday.
A classical spell of left-arm spin bowling from gary Keedy put Lancashire on course for victory.
Keedy ran through the middle order with 4-4 in 12 balls yesterday at Old Trafford to revive Lancashire's title hopes.
Surrey were 137-8 at stumps on a third day shorn of 62 overs by rain and bad light which limited play to just three hours in two murky sessions.
At the close, each team had six points.
Both teams need a win to help rein in Sussex, particularly Lancs who lagged 53 points off the pace at the start of the match.
