Hastings United crashed out in the prelimanry round at home to Ryman League Bracknell Town. Hastings had made a promising start and took the lead on 18 minutes.
Ricky Spiller's cross was controlled by Chris Honey who turned and shot in an instant, drilling his finish into the bottom corner of the net.
Soon after only a goal-line clearance prevented Mark Lovell from doubling the advantage .
At this stage Hastings looked on course for a place in the next round.
The complexion of the match changed just before half time when Bracknell exchanged passes outside the opposition box and Jon Palmer equalised with a crisp drive beyond keeper Matt Brown.
The visitors looked the more threatening early in the second half before taking the lead for the first time on 72 minutes through a Gavin Smith penalty awarded for a trip by Carl Rook.
Lovell went close to levelling the scores before substitute Adam Crittenden took advantage of a defensive slip to lob the killer third in added time.
