As a dustman's wife, I am incensed by way the refuse workers of Brighton and Hove have been portrayed by The Argus.
Not only are the dustmen not taking industrial action (overtime is optional), they - unlike many other council staff - never have a bank holiday off.
After every day off, they work an extra day and for each of those days off there is an extra day's rubbish to collect - about one black bag per household and even more after a good bank holiday as a result of waste from BBQs, parties, gardening etc.
The bonus is for the whole week, not just one day.
On the last bank holiday the men gave up the rise to charity, so no one received £230 for working the make-up.
The council says the public has a right to know what its council tax is spent on. I couldn't agree more.
Give us a breakdown of where exactly our money is spent. Let us see bonuses paid to all council employees, including councillors.
And don't forget that refuse workers also pay council tax.
