Weekly recycling collections return to Lancing and Sompting this week and residents will notice big improvements, council bosses say.
The council's Box Clever campaign has stepped up a gear and more roads will have a trial blue box collection while recycling and black sack collections will now be on the same day.
There will be a dedicated helpline number for any queries, and smaller boxes will be available for elderly or disabled residents.
Every home in the district should have received a Box Clever newsletter containing a plethora of information on how and what to recycle and tips on recycling or reusing other materials.
Council leader Neil Parkin said: "This is a real step forward for us as a council and for the people of Adur.
"We recycle more in Adur than many other councils. This investment is going to make us better equipped to meet the Government's new targets for recycling. "
Adur District Council says it is highly respected for its commitment to recycling, and is determined to increase how much is recycled. The new service has been paid for with a £330,000 Government grant allowing the council to buy three new shiny green vehicles and employ more staff.
The helpline number is 01273 263133 or 263155 number for any queries and smaller boxes will be available for elderly or disabled residents.
