A man was robbed of his car at knifepoint after being flagged down on a dual carriageway.
The victim was driving his green Renault Clio at about 11.45pm on Friday from Havant, Hampshire, towards Chichester on the A27 dual when he noticed a man at the side of the road asking drivers to stop.
As he stopped and got out, the man approached the car and brandished a knife.
Another man then appeared from the bushes and ordered the driver into the back of the car.
They drove him at knifepoint to a secluded spot near West Dean, north of Chichester, where they made him hand over his belongings.
He was told to get out of the car and the two men drove off. The car, registration X761 BFG, has still not been found.
Detectives are calling for witnesses who may have seen the car to come forward.
They say its occupants should not be approached. Anyone who sees them should dial 999 or contact Chichester CID on 0845 6070999.
