Dr Martens: Crawley striker Fabian Forde has swapped the Dr Martens League for international football after being selected for Barbados under-23s.
The former Watford professional will miss Reds' trip to Tiverton after linking up with the Barbados squad ahead of their game in Guyana.
The two-legged match is the first round of the CONCACAF qualifying stages for the Olympic Games to be held in Athens next year.
His selection has stunned Crawley fans, who have barely seen the forward since he joined the club in the summer.
Londoner Forde, who qualifies for Barbados through his parents, made one substitute appearance during his three years at Watford before being released in February.
He joined Crawley last month after unsuccessful spells at Enfield and Chesham, but was told by manager Francis Vines to look for another club after failing to impress.
The 22-year-old was given a second chance by Vines at the beginning of the season, but has been largely used as a substitute in the first six games of the season.
Vines said: "Hopefully he will score a couple of goals and come back full of confidence."
Ashley Carr and Nicky Wyatt are again named in the Burgess Hill squad for tomorrow's eastern division match at home to unbeaten King's Lynn.
Veteran striker Carr and fellow frontman Wyatt, a summer signing from Bognor, were included for the first time this season as substitutes against Southwick in the FA Cup last weekend. Jay Head is also fit again and joins the squad.
Eastbourne Borough look set to be without striker Scott Ramsay for at least a fortnight after he came off against Crawley in midweek with the recurrence of a hamstring injury. Borough entertain Hinckley United at Priory Lane.
