A friend and I visited Bognor to see the attempts at flight taking place from the pier.
While sitting on the beach waiting for the event to start, there suddenly appeared a lone, small aeroplane and everyone on the beach and promenade was treated to the most amazing flying display I have ever seen.
The swoops, dives and the way in which this machine appeared to stop dead, turn and then spiral, went on for several minutes, finishing with a final wing wave when the pilot flew off.
Was this pre-arranged or was it some pilot on his way to or from the Shoreham Airshow giving a free display on seeing all the people on the prom and beach?
We would love to know who it was and thank him for this most thrilling experience.
