Burgess Hill found the going tough against unbeaten Kings Lynn at Leylands Park and ended up well beaten.
The visitors went ahead on 19 minutes when Robbie Harris chased a long through ball and chipped the advancing Pat Gannon.
A poor back pass from Leo Day put Gannon under pressure and he fluffed his clearance to gift Harris an easy second on the half hour.
Hillians found it difficult to create chances and Kings Lynn killed off the game on 48 minutes through Chris Bacon, whose volley took a wicked deflection.
