Eastbourne Borough boss Garry Wilson said Hinckley were one of the teams his side should be beating at home after a disappointing defeat at Priory Lane.
Two goals from on-loan Kidderminster striker Matthew Lewis condemned Wilson's men to defeat after a poor display.
Wilson said: "Hinckley are one of the more mediocre sides in the league so this defeat is really disappointing."
Borough did not have the best preparation with the referee being stuck in traffic, causing the game to kick off half an hour late.
They went 1-0 down after 18 minutes when Lewis broke into the box before finishing well with a curling shot.
Borough played better in the second half but did not really look like scoring, even with the stiff breeze behind them.
Hinckley finished off the job four minutes into injury time when Lewis made a swift counter attack and rounded Lee Hook.
