Historians are staging a series of talks on Georgian Worthing.
The lectures, covering 1760 to 1830, take place at Worthing library lecture theatre in Richmond Road over six weeks from October 7 to November 11.
Ron Kerridge and Mike Standing, who have co-written a series of books on the history of the town, said the lectures would highlight the properties and personalities of the era.
The talks, which take place every Tuesday from 10am to noon, are titled The Ancient Hamlet, Fashionable Watering Place, King Ogle And His Master Plan, The Commercial Centre Of The Developing Town, Why Enclosure? and The End Of An Era.
Tickets, which can be obtained by calling 01903 206961, cost £3 per lecture or £15 for six in advance.
