The Bulldog Tavern pub in St James's Street, Brighton, actively supported us while some members of the Regency Division of St John Ambulance were busy at events such as the Notting Hill Carnival over the August bank holiday.
Paul, Wayne and patrons of the Bulldog Tavern raised £420.50 for the division through shows, raffles and bucket collections.
We will now be able to purchase a pulse oxymeter, a diagnostic piece of equipment which clips on the finger and displays blood oxygen saturation levels as well as recording the pulse rate continually.
This division of St John Ambulance wouldn't be able to exist without the fundraising contributions of the Bulldog and other gay establishments such as Club Revenge and Secrets.
Thanks to this Pink money, the division is able to provide medical cover at events such as The Streets of Brighton festival, Brighton Pride and The Sussex Beacon Half Marathon.
-Terry Wing divisional superintendent, St John Ambulance Regency Division, Regency Square, Brighton
