A company called Drips, Drains and Plumbing Pains has been named South-East regional winner in a search by Yellow Pages to find the best business name.
Bognor-based owner Gregory Brook said: "This has really made my day.
"My wife chose the name when we started the business but we never thought we would win a prize like this.
"Now I'm keeping my fingers firmly crossed for the final."
Mr Brooks will go into the national final, which could lead to a prize of £1,000 and the accolade of Yellow Pages Best Business Name 2003.
Eastbourne company Choccywoccydoodah, which runs Bar de Chocolat in Grove Road, was named runner-up in the regional heat.
