When Brighton was invaded by bikers the weekend before last, my friend and I were unwittingly caught at the Aquarium roundabout and surrounded by bikes.
While we were caught in the jam, a bike slid up on the left and smacked into our wing mirror.
The biker screamed a load of obscenities, wrenched the mirror and broke it so that it dangled down.
Not content with breaking the mirror, he hammered on the door window and screamed abuse. His female passenger was just as bad.
I said: "Welcome to Brighton, I hope you enjoy the rest of the day and do come back again."
They shot off with the two-fingered sign.
My friend now has to pay £100 to fix the mirror, a bit hard on a pension.
We could not continue our journey to Worthing as the mirror was needed for just such a situation.
At the time we were not even moving. I wonder if this road rage would have happened if two young men were seated in the car.
