Florian Mateos scored a hat-trick as Withdean defeated previously unbeaten AFC Wallingford.
Mateos put his side 2-0 ahead at half time with a couple of smart finishes.
The visitors hit back after the interval but Withdean keeper Phil Reid preserved the lead by saving a penalty.
Wallingford eventually reduced the deficit but Mateos then broke away to complete his treble.
Joint-boss Bob Hitchcock said: "All three of his goals were good goals, he took them well.
"I'm pleased with all the team. It was a great display."
