I was surprised to read of the supposed "anger" of customers at the new Hove Tesco store's car park charge.

Surely the free parking of an hour and a half for spending at least £5 in the store is generous enough, allowing the customer to shop there and perhaps do some other purchases in the locality?

Relaxation of charges would mean that non-Tesco parkers would park their cars there all day and surely Tesco doesn't want to provide such drivers with free daily parking, to the exclusion of Tesco's genuine customers?

Stick to your guns, Tesco. We found the new shop convenient, helpful and easily accessible for parking.

The coffee shop was refreshing and the automatic check-out speeded up our shopping expedition.

As at other Tesco stores, the staff are well-trained, polite and helpful. The store is a welcome addition to the somewhat limited shopping facilities of the area.
