More than 20 firefighters were this morning battling a blaze at an East Sussex social club.
The fire broke out on the site of Hellingly Hospital, near Hailsham, just before 8.30am.
Crews from Hailsham, Heathfield and Eastbourne fought the blaze in the single-storey building which left it gutted.
A fire brigade spokesman said nobody was injured.
It was too early to determine a cause. However, the derelict hospital buildings have been targeted by arsonists over many years.
