East Grinstead manager Bobby Smith believed his side was fortunate to win 4-0 against Sidley in the Sussex Senior Cup.
James Horner scored twice and also forced an own goal, while Dave Gellatly completed the win. Smith said: "They edged the first half and were the better team in my view."
East Preston also won 4-0 at home to Worthing United with Matt Huckett, Simon Clayton and substitute Lee Farrell, with a brace, on target.
Littlehampton won 3-0 against Westfield. Clinton Moore and Ryan Gaylor missed chances early on but made amends by creating goals for their side.
New signing Derek Chester headed the first, then Gary Young converted a penalty. Mark Price wrapped up victory.

Broadbridge Heath won 3-2 at Peacehaven despite missing eight first team regulars. Goals came from Ian Ford, Paul Gallagher and Warren Sweatman (penalty). Dan Hamilton and Nick Newman replied for Peacehaven.
