Lewes boss Steve King saw his side's unbeaten run end at the hands of Eastern Counties side Lowestoft Town.
It was the first defeat in 12 league and cup games for King's men.
The hosts took the lead against the run of play after the break when Gary McGee fired home.
Marc Whiteman levelled from a Justin Harris pass on 70 minutes but Lowestoft regained the lead with six minutes left when Jamie Stokeld latched on to a poor clearance.
