Four people on board a powerboat were rescued by lifeboat crews after their vessel broke down off Eastbourne.
The 27ft MV Kynisca experienced a transmission fault while more than a mile off Beachy Head on Saturday afternoon.
The crew members radioed Dover Coastguard for help and they alerted the Eastbourne all-weather lifeboat crew, which towed the boat five miles into Sovereign Harbour.
RNLI coxswain Mark Sawyer said: "We learned there were no injuries on board and despite a stiff 20-knot wind, lumpy seas and strong tide, we were able to take the vessel under tow to Sovereign Harbour."
