Dave Gorman first made it big with Are You Dave Gorman?

The wacky tale of how he travelled the world following a drunken bet to find as many people named Dave Gorman as he could generated a TV series and a book.

Dave's latest show is called Googlewhack, which is also a term for a craze involving the Google internet search engine.

To explain how it works is probably best left to the star of the show but suffice to say Googlewhack web sites are rare and unique. A fact which couldn't help but impress Dave.

Indeed, when he discovered the world of Googlewhack, Dave found himself slowly but surely sucked in, whereupon many adventures and much world travel ensued.

This show is the true story of those adventures, the details of which must however remain mostly secret, though it doesn't hurt to know that booze has played its devilish part once again.

The reason for the secrecy is partly because Dave has sworn his audience to silence to ensure the story won't be ruined for future audiences and partly because it's how Dave tells it that makes it so good.

Ultimately, his story isn't about much but he manages to spin and twist it into a tale of immense proportions.

Perhaps a little too long for the first two thirds and perhaps some of the final poignancy could have been woven in earlier.

But this a clever, entertaining and very human show that proves, once again, exactly how good a storyteller and performer Dave Gorman really is.
