A Greek scholar obsessed with the glamour model Jordan is appealing against his sentence for harassing her mother.
Nigel Chapman, 55, admitted a charge of harassing Amy Price in August.
He was sentenced by Brighton magistrates to a two-year community rehabilitation order and banned from contacting Mrs Price or her daughter, real name Katie Price.
Chapman, from Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, today launched an appeal against the length of the order at Lewes Crown Court.
The court heard the Probation Service had concerns about whether the original sentence was appropriate and recommended the appeal be adjourned until a psychiatric report was prepared.
At the original hearing, magistrates were told Chapman bombarded Jordan with explicit translations of ancient Greek text and sent her a thong.
The appeal will be heard on December 15.
