In 1938, if memory serves me right, Howard Robinson's large furniture shop used a model in a nightdress for a long time in one of their beds in the window.
Crowds used to gather and the males waited for her to get out of the bed when she had to. The store was at the bottom of Edward Street and is now being converted into 33 expensive flats.
