Albion caretaker Bob Booker has been given the all-clear by Fulham to extend the loan spell of Zesh Rehman for another month.
The midfielder's month with the Second Division leaders is not due to expire for another fortnight but Booker has acted quickly to stretch his stay after an impressive impact.
Rehman, who was 20 on Wednesday, goes into tomorrow's south coast showdown at Bournemouth with two goals from four games.
The Birmingham-born prospect scored on his debut at Rushden and Diamonds and in last Saturday's home victory against Grimsby.
Booker said: "I took his brother on when I was youth team manager at Brentford.
"Zesh was a year younger then and he had been taken on by Fulham, but he used to come in to train with us, so I know him from those days anyway and I have kept an eye on his progress.
"He has scored a couple of goals for us. When I have seen him for Fulham he has played at centre half, so it has been slightly different game for him here, especially in the Second Division, but he has done particularly well.
"He has settled in with the lads, which is important. They have taken to him, he has taken to them, and he is very happy here.
"He is good passer, a good size and he is mobile, so he has got everything you want from a midfield player. He is still young and he has got a bright future."
Albion have sold their 1,300 ticket allocation for the visit to the Fitness First Stadium.
Rehman is relishing the thought of the fans' backing again after a similar turnout at Rushden.
"I was very impressed with the supporters that night," he said. "I didn't expect there to be so many of them. They really got behind the team and that helped us a lot.
"My impression is that we will definitely get promotion. We have got the players here to do it."
Rehman's central midfield partner Richard Carpenter has required a knee injection to be fit to play.
Captain Danny Cullip and Adam Hinshelwood, both missing from Monday's LDV Vans Trophy victory against Forest Green Rovers, resume in defence in place of Robbie Pethick and Paul Watson.
Meanwhile, Dean Hammond and Dan Beck have returned to Albion from loan spells with Aldershot and Bognor respectively.
Aldershot wanted to keep Hammond and Albion were happy to let him stay for another month but the Conference club called the deal off because he would not have been allowed to play for them in the FA Cup.
