Paul Lee scored twice as Selsey recorded only their second win of the season with a 3-0 defeat of East Grinstead in County League division one.

Lee bagged two before half-time and Matt Hurst wrapped things up with a second half penalty after Duncan Terry had been brought down.

Caretaker-boss Barry Rishman said: "It is pleasing to get three points to get us on our way."

East Preston ground out a 1-0 win over visiting Sidley. Simon Clayton scored the only goal from the penalty spot midway through the first half after Lee Farrell had been felled.

Matt Huckett had been taken to hospital ten minutes prior to the goal but his knee injury is not as serious as initially thought.

Arundel manager Steve Johnson was disappointed with his side's display in their 1-1 draw at home to Rye and Iden United.

Johnson said: "If we want to win the league then we are going to have to perform for the whole 90 minutes, not just in fits and starts."

Miles Scerri converted a Steve Blake cross to put the hosts ahead on 20 minutes but United drew level before the break through Dean Chamberlain.

Pagham manager Paul Gilbert was happy with a point as his side held visiting Ringmer to a 1-1 draw.

Paul Stokes gave Ringmer the lead on 30 minutes but Lions equalised on the hour through Neil Barratt.

Gilbert said: "If you had offered us a draw before the game I would have taken it."

Southwick could afford to miss two penalties as they beat Sidlesham 3-1.

Terry Streeter (two) and Stuart Townsend got the goals but Streeter and Jason Tarr both missed from the spot. Ashley Martin hit the lone reply.

Hailsham boss Brian Dennis is stepping down due to health reasons.

Chairman Steve Richardson said: "We are disappointed at Brian's decision but one's health must always come first."

Dennis will remain as manager until a successor is found.
