Worthing Thunder must win at London United to reach the last four of the National Trophy after suffering a shock home setback on Saturday.
Thunder led United by 21 points in the second quarter but went down 84-78 in a physical battle.
Steven Gayle, Damien Harris and Gaylon Moore all fouled out as United drew level at 78-78 before settling matters from the free throw line.
Thunder hit 13 of 14 two-point attempts to lead 33-15 after one quarter. It was 46-39 at the half but Pete Deppisch then hit three threes to lead the United revival.
Former Brighton Bear Errol Seaman had 12 points and four fouls for the visitors.
