Car ownership is growing and parking space is limited.
This may be frustrating but it is a fact. We can continue to waste time abusing poor traffic wardens or engage more fully in how we can move forward.
If a street has space to park "106 cars and there are almost 800 households" (The Argus, October 13) then there seems little opportunity to increase parking spaces significantly.
The council is identifying the real issues and is making progress. But it needs us to engage more proactively across the whole range of transport policies.
For example, I believe the council must increase parking charges.
This would be unpopular but we have to consider the implications of the current situation where it is cheaper for me to drive from Hove to Kemp Town and pay for parking than use the bus.
