A man charged in connection with a fatal road crash was today refused bail at Lewes Crown Court.
Barman Graham Travers, 21, of Shelldale Road, Hove, is charged with causing the death by dangerous driving of 21-year-old nursery nurse Natalie McCabe, from Shoreham.
He is also accused of having no licence or insurance in Portland Road, Hove, on Sunday, October 12, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident.
Two other passengers in the Ford Mondeo, Victoria Browne, 19, from Brighton, and Rebecca Fish, from Hove, remain in a serious condition in hospital.
Travers was remanded in custody to October 27.
