Geoffrey Bowden of the Green Party states I did not attend the vote on the King Alfred (Letters, October 17).
This is absolutely untrue.
When it came to the policy and resources committee on July 24, I spoke and voted against the development.
It's a bit rich of the Greens to make such claims when it was they who went in the face of local opinion by supporting the King Alfred plans.
As he talks about so-called "mandates" in his letter, I suggest Mr Bowden, who was in a poor eighth place in Rottingdean Coastal ward in the local elections, engages in a more positive form of politics.
He might actually get somewhere if he did.
